If you've ever rented a car, you've probably heard the stories about the sales staff at the rental desk. They aggressively sell their own insurance and it costs more than the car. Most people luckily never find out that the waivers sold by the rental companies don't provide much value either. A scratch can still cost you thousands!

We’ve designed this service specifically for travel agents, corporate travel organisers, and anyone else in the travel industry that wants to join us on our mission to give better coverage and understanding to the millions of people around the world who rent cars.
Agents earn 50% of the booking total (excluding tax), which is calculated after the trip has been completed. We need to wait because we offer free cancellation up until the time of pickup.
The steps are simple and only take a few minutes:

  • Sign up and create an account
  • You can then start creating quotes and booking policies
  • Before payment you just need to let us know how to pay you
With a RentalCover.com policy you do not need to take the supplier's excess reduction (also called Collision Damage Waiver and various other names). This is because you will be covered for any damages by the RentalCover.com partner that issues your policy.

If there is any damage you would just pay that amount to the supplier and then claim that amount via RentalCover.com. RentalCover.com is an authorised insurance distributor for multiple insurance partners. All are hand-selected for their commitment to improving outcomes for car renters. All products are vetted so that there are no "hidden" exclusions. If you pay it to the rental company, you can claim it from RentalCover.com!
You just need to login to agency.rentalcover.com to cancel, add or remove coverage, or make your client's policy shorter or longer. Cancellations are permitted up to the time of pickup.
This cannot be done. If something goes wrong, your client is responsible for submitting their claim at www.rentalcover.com/claim (this link is mentioned in confirmation emails). Our claims team will handle things from there. Unfortunately we cannot accept claims that are submitted by agents.

What happens after the claim has been submitted? Our simple claims process ensures 95% of claims are approved within 3 days.

Commissions are paid monthly when your balance exceeds $100 for all trips that have been completed in the previous month. If your customers travel ends on 15th, you will be paid commission the following month. This is due to our generous 100% refund which is available up until the time of pick up.
Customers can manage and modify their bookings on RentalCover.com. You can also modify the policies on their behalf via agency.rentalcover.com. We do not store credit card numbers on RentalCover.com, so any upgrades that require payment would be paid directly by the customer. All extra charges that are applied are commissionable. Your Dashboard will update automatically whenever a policy is upgraded (usually this is where the client adds more days), downgraded (less days) or cancelled.
All we need to confirm your client's booking is their full name, email address and travel details.

It's important this information is entered correctly to ensure the customer receives a copy of their Certificate of Insurance (COI) via email. The policy holder's details must match the name on the rental agreement and drivers licence to ensure their cover is valid.

You can update your client's booking information, including their name and email address, anytime before pick-up.
This is not currently possible using the agency platform. However, we are building a new platform for end-to-end supplier relations that also includes white labeled insurance products.
